How To Reset iTax Password Online (In 7 Steps)

Step 1: Visit KRA Portal 

The first step involved in the process of resetting iTax Password is to visit KRA Portal by using this link https://itax.kra.go.ke/KRA-Portal/

Step 2: Enter KRA PIN Number and Click on Forgot Password

In this step, on the KRA Portal homepage, enter your KRA PIN Number and click on the “Forgot Password/Unlock Account” link at the bottom of the page.

Step 3: Fill the Forgot iTax Password Form

Next, in the forgot password form, solve the arithmetic question (security stamp) and click on the “Submit” button. You will get a notification saying “Your password has been mailed to you”. At this point, you have to access your iTax Registered Email Address so as to get the iTax Password Reset email from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).

Step 4: Password Reset for KRA Web Portal account

In your iTax Email Address, you will get an email from [email protected] with the title; Password Reset for KRA Web Portal account. The email will confirm that your iTax account password has been reset and your login id and new password have been sent. Next, enter your KRA PIN Number and iTax Password Reset that was sent to your iTax Registered Email Address. Solve the arithmetic question and click on the “Login” button.

Step 7: Setup a new iTax Password

In this step, you need to fill in the Old Password, New Password, Confirm New Password, Security Question, Security Answer, Confirm Security Answer and the Disclaimer check boxes (I Agree to the KRA Website Policy and Disclaimer and  I have read the KRA Website Secure Password Policy Guideline). The old password is that password that was sent to your iTax Registered Email Address you you were doint iTax Password Reset. You need to enter your old password and setup now your new iTax Password.
